MIKY LEE, VICE CHAIRMAN OF CJ GROUP TO RECEIVE CINEMACON GLOBAL ACHIEVEMENT IN EXHIBITION AWARD
Washington D.C. (February 10, 2011) – Miky Lee, Vice Chairman of CJ Group will receive the CinemaCon Global Achievement in Exhibition Award as part of CinemaCon’s International Day, it was announced today by Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon, which will be held March 28 – 31, 2011 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. When it debuts, CinemaCon, the official convention of The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), will be the largest and most important gathering of cinema owners and operators from around the world. Ms. Lee will receive her special honor at the International Day Luncheon to take place on Monday, March 28, 2011.
“Having been involved in the industry from a worldwide standpoint for many years, I can tell you when it comes to respect, admiration and integrity, I don’t know if there is anyone more deserving of this first time honor than Miky Lee,” said Neuhauser. “She is highly regarded on so many levels be it from a professional or personal standpoint. Her global vision and dedication have lead to a film industry that thrives in Korea and crosses other borders too. We are simply honored to present her with the CinemaCon Global Achievement in Exhibition Award.”
Lee, alongside her brother and the Chairman of CJ group, founded the entertainment and media division of CJ in 1994 after leading CJ to become one of the founding investors in DreamWorks SKG. Since then, CJ has built many influential companies in the Korean entertainment and media industry including CJ CGV, the first and largest multiplex chain in South Korea.
