The Coca-Cola Company, Official Presenting Sponsor of CinemaCon, will host the final night gala awards program. In its first year, CinemaCon will be singling out the achievements of two up-and-coming talents, Jason Momoa and Julianne Hough, with special Rising Stars of 2011 Awards.

“Bringing with him an already loyal fanbase from ‘Stargate: Atlantis: Jason Momoa is sure to entertain audiences in the action adventure ‘Conan the Barbarian,’” noted Neuhauser. “We are thrilled to be able to present him with a CinemaCon Rising Star of 2011 Award and can’t wait to see what this new leading action star will do in the future.”

“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized in this way, and I’m happy that CinemaCon and the exhibition community are as excited as I am for the release of this film,” said Momoa of receiving the award.

“Jason is the definition of a rising star,” added President of Lionsgate’s Film Group Joe Drake.  “He will absolutely be the next unstoppable male action hero, and we are so proud that it will be because of this film.  We’re thrilled that CinemaCon has seen the same star qualities in Jason as we did.”

Momoa explodes onto the big screen in this summer's action-blockbuster Conan The Barbarian. He will also appear in the highly-anticipated HBO series Game Of Thrones, as the warlord ‘Khal Drogo’ which debuts April 17th. Jason, best known for his portrayal of ‘Ronan Dex’ on Stargate: Atlantis is currently in pre-production on Road To Paloma, an art-house independent road project. He is represented by APA.
